Witnessed by multiple passengers from the Oban-Craignure ferry, a large feline was seen on the coastal rocks.
During a midday crossing from Oban to Mull, over twenty passengers witnessed a large black shape moving across the jagged shoreline near the Duart Castle ruins.
Archival Sighting ID: MU-11-05
- Location: Coastal rocks near Duart Castle
- Witness Count: 22 (confirmed via ferry log)
- Duration: ~45 seconds
Witnesses described the cat as "jet black and incredibly agile," leaping over rocks that would have challenged a human climber.
